SAVE AND OPEN RESULTS LISTS

Some search results are too important not to save. GovClarity® enables you to save your search results lists for future reference. You can also open and save your layers as lists, a convenient way to read field values.

Note: The Open and Save icons are at the top right corner of the Results list.

Saving Your Results List


  1. Run a search and build a Search Results list that you would like to save.

  2. Click the Save icon GovClarity Icon Save Search Results at the top right corner of the Results list.

  3. In the Save As... window:
    1. Select a Folder to save your list.
    2. Enter the Name for your saved list.
    3. Click the Ok button. The tab for your saved list displays the name you entered.

    Tip: You can create a layer from your saved search results. As a layer, you can increase your visual analysis by using Thematic Mapper. Quickly identify trends and make more informed decisions based on your data. To create a layer from your search results, export the data to a csv file, and then load the csv file into GovClarity® (See Related Documents below).

Opening Your Saved Results List


  1. Click the Open icon GovClarity Icon Open Search Results at the top right corner of the Results list.

  2. Select Browse Lists from the menu.

  3. In the Open List window:
    1. Select the Folder with the saved search results list you would like to open.
    2. Click on the name of the saved list.
    3. Click the OK button. GovClarity® zooms to the location of the saved list. The Results list displays a tab with the name of the saved list.


    To delete a saved results list,
    1. Click on the name of the saved list.
    2. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the window.

Opening a Layer in List Form


  1. Click the Open icon GovClarity Icon Open Search Results at the top right corner of the Results list.

  2. Select Browse Layers from the menu.

  3. In the Open List window:
    1. Select the Folder with the layer that you would like to open in list form.
    2. Click on the name of the layer.
    3. Click the OK button. GovClarity® zooms to the location of the layer. The Results list displays a tab with the name of the layer. Open the Results list to view the layer fields in list form. (See Saving Your Results List above for instructions to save the list.)
