SEARCH FORMS


GovClarity® Help > Documentation > Search Forms

The Search Forms in GovClarity allow you to search the data within the system, and add the results to the results list. You can search by Owner Name, find all the APNs from a page, or locate all the parcels on a street.

GovClarity includes the following Search Forms by default:
  • APN Search
  • Owner Name Search
  • Parcel Notes Search
  • Parcels on Streets Search
  • Points of Interest Search*
  • Property Sales Search
  • Property Search
  • Public Schools Search
  • Qualified Opportunity Zones Search
  • School Districts Search
  • Site Address Search

You can also create your own custom Search Forms to search your custom data sets.

How Searches Work


Click on the Search icon Zoom Buttons from the main toolbar to launch the Search Forms.

The Search Form window has many different features:
  1. Search Form Dropdown: Select the type of search you would like to perform.

  2. Limit Search To: Decide how you want to limit or constrain your search.
    • City - Search the entire City.
    • Selected Feature - Limit your search to a selected feature such as a zipcode, or a drawing on the map. Learn more here.
    • Current Map View - The search will be limited to only the area you see on your Map screen.
    • Apply as View Filter - An advanced feature that applies your Forms to your map screen, allowing you to dynamically search the map and see results highlight.

  3. Add Buffer: Apply a buffer to extend your search beyond your selected feature, or current map view.

  4. Active Search: When a search form is open, the search form is active and will be used as search criteria. The filter will be colored blue when opened/active.

  5. Inactive Search: A search is inactive when the search is green and closed. The search criteria will be ignored.

  6. OK & Cancel: Click OK to run your search. The results of your search will be added to the Results List, where you can view the results in spreadsheet form. Learn more about the Results List

APN Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select APN Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • APN: Search for specific or partial APNs to find target properties.

  4. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Owner Name Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Owner Name Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Owner Name: Search using the name(s) of a specific property owner.

    • Bank-Owned Properties: Search using the name(s) of a specific bank.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Parcel Notes Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Parcel Notes Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Department: Search using the name(s) of a specific department a note may be contain in.

    • Note type: Search for a specfic type of note.

    • Name: Search using the name(s) of a specific note owner.

    • Note: Search for notes containing specific key words.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Parcels on Streets Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Parcels on Streets Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Site Street Name: Search for parcels along a specific street.



  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Points of Interest Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Parcels on Streets Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Major Brands: Search by a POI's Brand Name.

    • Official Name: Search by a POI's Official Name.

    • Location: Search by a POI's Location.

    • Service Group: Search by Service Group.

    • Service Category: Search by Category.

    • Service Subcategory: Search by Subcategory.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Property Sales Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Property Sales Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Property Type: Search for specific property types.

    • Sale Details: Search by inputing specific details of a transaction.

    • Location: Search a city, state, zip code, county or combination of all.



  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Property Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Property Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Property Type: Search for specific property types, such as Multifamily, Office or Vacant land.

    • Characteristics: Apply characteristic criteria such as Year Built or Number of Units.

    • Last Market Sale: Search by Sales' Details within a certain time duration.

    • Ownership: Search by Ownership details, such as Name and/or address.

    • Property Value: Search by entering custom Assessed Values.

    • Location: Constrain your search with several location-specific options.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Public Schools Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Public Schools Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • School Name: Search for a specific School by its name.

    • Type: Determine the type of school, such as a Regular or Vocational school.

    • Grade Level: Search by Grade levels.

    • Enrollment: Search by Number of Students enrolled.

    • Number of Teachers: Search by Number of Teachers employed.

    • Student to Teacher Ratio: Search by the number of students to teachers at public schools in the area.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Qualified Opportunity Zones Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Qualified Opportunity Zones Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Track Type: Select "Low-Income Community", "non_LIC Contiguous", or both.

    • State: Search for opportunity zones in a specific state.

    • County: Search by county for opportunity zones.

    • Census Tract: Search by a specific census tract.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

School Distric Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select School District Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Name: Search by schoold distric name.

    • Location: Search by county, state or both.

    • Type: Search by the type of school district.

    • High Grade: Allows for the highest grade to be searched.

    • Low Grade: Allows for the lowest grade to be searched.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.

Site Address Search


  1. Click on the Search icon from the main toolbar to view a drop-down list of the available search filters.

  2. Select Site Address Search, in which you can select the following criteria:

    • Site Address: Search by entering part of or the whole street address of a site.


  3. Once you have your criteria selected, click on the OK button to run your search.
